Do a 'search' for folders named 'startup' most of the
programs that fire up on boot are in these folders, you
can add short cuts or delete them out of here and it
should fix your problem.

IF there starting and there not in the startup folder
check your registry....
hkeylocalmachine/software/microsoft/windows/currentversion/
run

Two steps to try.. (You can pick or choose what you want
to keep.)

1) Look into clearing out your Startup folder
(Start\Settings\Task Manager\Advanced Tab\Advanced
button\click on the + next to Programs, and clear out the
Startup folder. This will clear out a few of the items
that start up.

2) look in:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersio
n\Run

There are usually a ton of programs that start up there.
Now remember, that's the registry, you should only be
there if you know what you are doing.

Good luck.
