Start up Profile has Emails unable to read

I am new to XP. Can someone help please. Regarding email's I have change the
user name and password given to me by bigpond for a new account. And
installed 2 more additonal email accounts, so 3 in total. When starting my
comp it says i have unread emails and when i click to see which account has
them it has 4 email acounts listed one of them being the default email
account that had been changed and no longer exists.I dont know how to delete
it. Does it matter that one email is through OUTLOOK and the other 2 are
through OUTLOOK EXPRESS ?
