My computer was working fine for about 3 months, then the
other day I tried to turn it on and I got this
message, "drive not ready, insert boot diskette into
drive A, press any key when ready", trouble is I have no
boot disk. I still have the installation cd which I was
told would act as a boot disk but it just isn't working.
Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Has anyone
come across this before?

It sounds as though the hard drive is not first in line in the boot sequence
in the system BIOS. Some systems have this problem when the hard drive is
not first in line.

Boot the system, usually, the first screen has a message to depress a
specific key in order to enter setup, when you see this, do so. Once in
setup, you'll have to navigate to the boot sequence, place the hard drive
first in line, save, exit reboot and see if the system will now boot
properly.
