Start up problem

I have a IBM running Windows Me, when I turn it on, it
will boot up, and then go to a black screen with a
cursor. I cant do anything from there. If I try to put
the Me startup disk in the floppy drive, it wont
recognize it. I also cant get into set up, its like it
doent give me time to start it up in safe, or go to
setup, or recognize the floppy start up disk. I opened it
up and plugged another hard drive in it, and got the same
thing. Is there a good chance that its just a bad piece
of RAM? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Do you...Do you /really/?! Then may I ask what in Hades are you doing
posting to a *WINDOWS XP* group?! Or did you just pick a group at random,
probably with your eyes shut?!
