I am running Windows XP proffessional with Service Pack 1.

Since installaing the Service Pack my PC has slowed down
on start-up, this is before the XP splash screen. It is
at the point where you have a black screen with the white
blocks at the bottom, it seems to take ages for the blocks
to fill in.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Thanks

I recall a post dealing with slow operation after
installation of SP1 but couldn't find it. Perhaps someone
else will post that info. Until then, try
