Hi,

I have Access 2000 with a large database running. Up until a couple of
weeks ago, every time I started Access and this database, I was ALWAYS placed
back into the category such as REPORTS, or FORMS that I was in when I last
was using the database.

At the present time, EVERY time I start Access 2000 and this database, I am
sent back to the TABLES area and the highlighted area is the "create a news
table...etc.

Can anyone help me get back what I once had so that when I come back, I am
in the same category as when I left????

are you trying to start up a form? and is the Database window opening up also?

I you are trying to open a Form, go to tools - startup and enter the name of
the form. if you do not want the database window to open up, de-select the
Open database option and this will prevent the DB window from opening.

Hope this helps if not please reply.

thanks... When Access start up, I am looking at the database window that has
the Table, Querie, Form, Report, Macro down the LEFT side. In the past, if I
was working on a form by first clicking the form option and after finishing,
then left Access, when I came back Access would always open with the FORMS
window displayed which is exactly where I left it. It does not do that any
longer.

I hope that helps...

Does it make any difference if you check the box:
Tools | Options | General | Compact on Close

If you wanted the Forms tab active, you could always use SelectObject in an
AutoExec macro. Leave the object name blank, choose the type, and Yes for In
Database Window.
