XP pro SP2 single home user. Up to date on everything, machine runs great.

Something happened. I use to be able to turn the machine on and walk away,
and in a few minutes it was all ready to go.

Now, I turn the machine on, and it stops. I have to click sign-on as the
administrator. I don't want to that. I want to turn it on and get coffee and
when I come back the desktop is displayed.

How do I do that?

Thanks, Bob

This newsgroup is dedicated to security questions for Microsoft Access
databases. I suggest you find a more suitable newsgroup, unless you want to
wait for someone who remembers which Windows user setting you must change,
because I can't remember off of the top of my head at the moment.

you need to just enable auto logon.
either u disable classic log on.
or u can download the XP tweak power toy (downloadable from microsoft web site)
u just need to enter the username and password. then the system will automatically log u on when u restart.

u just else switch off the classic user log on in the control panel-user accounts

Naren
