How do you enable them?

Have you tried control panel, add or remove programs, Microsoft Antispyware,
change, update?

How do you enable them? I right click ms anti-spyware
icon and click enable real time protection
Have you tried control panel, add or remove programs, Microsoft Antispyware,
change, update? yes did this and then restarted
didnt help the problem went threw options everything set
right in there.

Sorry--I believe I've seen a couple of instances where that has worked. I
believe I have also managed this by observing which .GCD file is changed
when I disable a checkpoint, and renaming or deleting that GCD file (in the
directory where Microsoft Antispyware is installed.)
(having stopped Microsoft Antispyware via the system tray icon first!)
It gets recreated from scratch when the program is restarted.

Mr. Sanderson, do you think that removing the gcd files would help my situation where the Security Agents are disabled after I have manually exited MS Antispyware and then reboot? And is it ok to simply delete them all? I'd be happy to redo all my settings if that is all that deleting the gcds would affect. I have two gcd files with security agents in the name.

Sorry about the lack of line breaks. I just tried deleting
all the gcds and that didn't help my specific reboot
problem.

Thanks--and sorry it didn't do the job. Have you checked the error.log file
in the directory Microsoft Antispyware is installed in for errors
referencing registration of a particular file?

I'm not clear what the symptom is you are trying to fix.
