Hi,
I am trying to get a History of when my computer has been turned on and
turned off

I work in a small office on days shift and I am not sure if somebody on the
night shift may have been snooping around on my computer.

Is it possible to view a record of the times and dates when the computer had
been accessed.

Computer had windows XP on it - not sure if that helps!?

Many thanks in advance.

Go to Start > Run and type: eventvwr.msc
and press the Enter key to open the Event Viewer.

Look in the Event Viewer log. Event ID's 6005 "The Event log service
was started." will pretty well tell you when the pc was started and
Event ID 6006 " The Event log service was stopped. " will tell you when
it was turned off.

If you set up sufficiently complex passwords and lock the floppy drive and
cd drive, then they can't.
