Start up hangs after updating

I updated using Windows Update this morning and now I
cannot start up W2k. It hangs on the W2k splash screen
and goes no further. I can start up Safe Mode. Any ideas?

Jeff,

In Safe Mode, try to uninstall the update that you applied.
