Does the End time have to be 30 minutes after the Start time of an
appointment made in the calendar? Can the default be changed?

It should correspond with the time scale you have set on the Day view of your
Calendar...right-click the times on the left to see what's selected, and
change it if you like. Of course, you can type any end time you like into
the box...even use some shortcuts, like 430p for 4:30 PM.

That works great. However it changes the display times from "work" hours to
24 hours. Is there a way to change it back to "work" hours and keep the 1
hour appointment?

I'm not sure what you mean by 24-hours vs. work hours...Outlook always shows
all hours in Day view, it just highlights whatever you have set as work hours.

When I specify an appointment end time, Outlook adds a day to the end time.
For example, if I set an appointment for Jan. 12 starting at 1 PM, ending at
2 PM, the end time field automatically adds a day, reading Jan. 13, 2 PM. Is
one of my Calendar settings doing this? Thx.

Many add-ons. Are there any I should look for that might cause this problem?
Thx

Not sure. :) CA Antivirus/antispam addin is known to add 2 -8 min to
appointments so if you have a CA add-in, that would be my first bet.
