START - SEARCH

My Start does not work. Will click on it , the computer seams to freeze for a minute. Then nothing happens.
I belive a registry was deleted when removing adds.

How do I restore the search ? Am I missing a registry ?

reboot your computer, get into safe mode. you can do this by hitting on the
F8 key *before* you see windows when you boot up. select safe mode and hit
enter. when you're there, go to start>run and type in the word msconfig and
hit enter. then launch the system restore. select the date which you recall
that your computer's working fine. btw, i'm assuming you're working under
windows XP. hope this helps.
