Start > Programs takes 5 seconds to display

I have a HP XT938 Athlon 1.3G running Win XP home edition.
Sine I bought the computer I noticed that going to
Start > Programs takes much longer than any other computer
I used so far, any ideas?

Get TweakUI from Microsoft, install it and tweak the heck out of your
system.. In particular, the menu speed delay.

Change the Speed of the Start Menu
Start | Run | Type: regedit | OK
Navigate to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Control Panel \ Desktop
Right click | MenuShowDelay | select Modify
Change the Value data (0 is fast, 400 is default. These are all in miliseconds)
OK | Close the registry editor
Log off or restart Windows for the changes to take effect

Mine is set at 300. If you set it too fast, it will P*** you off.
