I moved my pictures and music into Disk D, how do I change my Pictures/Music
in the start menu to take me to Disk D instead of Disk C?
Changing properties doesn't work

How did you move your folders initially? If by Drag and Drop or Cut and
Paste, your registry won't have the correct information. I would try this:
Move the folders manually back under C:\Users\(Your User Name). Then
right-click on the Music and Pictures folders, choose Properties, and, on
the Location tab, choose Restore Default. Then, for each folder, do the
same again, only choose Move..., and move them via the Select a Destination
dialog.

Having a similar problem and this solution seemed like it could solve it.
Moved pictures and music to an external hard drive. Operated pc for a period
of time disconnected from the xHD, during which time the Start Menu right
collumn links to pictures and music also seem to have lost their targets.
When I right-click and select properties, only a very basic menu appears
which neither allows me to restore defaults or choose a target location.

Nothing happens when you click on a shell folder link in the Windows Vista Start menu:
