start menu programs icons

How do you get the name of a program back to the start
menu. I drug the icon to desktop without knowing how to
get it then. Now the program is not listed.

Drag the icon back onto the Start button. Or find the EXE file for the
application and drag it onto the Start button to have a new shortcut
created in the menu.
