How do I determine the Start Menu order? How do I change
it? I want to select the order in which applications
start that I have put into my Windows 2000 Start Menu.

Right click on anything in your programs menu, and choose sort by name....or
drag things where you want them.

Thanks for your help, but when I went to
Start/Programs/Startup the applications were listed as I
wanted them to load in A, B, C, D order. But in reality
they load in B, D, C, A order. Any other ideas?

Startup? I didn't think that's what you were asking - thought you meant the
sort order in your programs menu. Sorry. I don't think the order in which
you see the items in Startup makes a difference. What is the problem you're
having that makes you want to change this?

I want to put Outlook and Outlook Express in Startup. I
want to load Outlook Express first because it loads so
much faster. Is there a way to define what order things
are loaded in startup? Not causing any real problems,
just personal preference. Thanks for your help.

I don't know that it's possible using the shortcuts in startup, but if you
have sleep.exe from the resource kit, you can use a batch file and specify
"sleep 30" and then specify the executable you want to launch - it will wait
for 30 seconds before launching OE. Not sure what the real point is, tho, as
you're usually better off waiting til everything has started up before you
start using applications....
