He he he, silly me. I'd really never heard the term "embedded" until the war
in Iraq and i surmised (wrongly, it turns out),- no laughing out loud please
- it to mean in this context, that since i purchased this computer with xp
already installed, that ... it.....meant ........it .............. was
embedded!! There i told you. So now that i've made a complete fool of myself,
i'll be on my merry way then shall i?
Actually I'd like to make this comment. I'm well aware how long computers
have been around but i resisted them for years, fearing i would never get out
of my office once i get a computer. Well i finally broke down about a year
ago and bought this computer and i was dead right! i cant tear myself away
from this thing. There go all tthe house projects i was planning on doing. My
observation and sometimesto my utter frustration. i find that just about
every where i go on this computer people take for granted that everybody else
understands the language ( and i mean that in an all encompasingal way - that
everything and everybody and all the terminology, practices, policies etc is
the the language. Some of what we do now are everyday practice and 2nd nature
to most, except me! I'm still thinking in non computer language and i see
things and interpret them in a very objective and mechanical way. When i'm
looking for the answer, from my own language i expect to find the answers in
a logical place simply based upon common sense. But it dosn't work in this
world. It's a whole new language not, i feel based on anything close to the
laguage i was taught and practised all my life ( i'm 53
