Start menu issues

Hi,
Everytime I click on the start menu I get the "New programs have been
installed" and "There isn't room to show all programs..." messages. Can I
make these go away?
 
To get rid of the New Program message, right click taskbar>properties>start
menu>Customize>advance>deselect 'Highlight Newly Installed Programs'

Not sure about the other, but you could create, say for example, one folder
that contains all your Anti-virus type programs, one for your office/Word
type programs..
