I just set up 20 new XP Pro computers on a NetWare/Microsoft network.
I must have been in a hurry because I misspelled someones name
somewhere. Does anyone know where the "Start menu" draws the users
name from?
I searched the registry for the misspelled name thinking I could fix it
there, didn't find it. I have noticed on mine that sometimes it uses
my user name and sometimes it uses my full name???

Just change the name of the user in Users applet in Control Panel.

I looked in there first and it was spelled correctly??
doesn't make any sense that sometimes it is username and others it is
full name either.

any other thoughts?

His name was spelled correctly there, but you sent me in the correct
direction. Apparently when he was set up in the Domain years ago (NT
Users) his last name was misspelled. Well with Win98 all these years
he neverr saw his last name. So thanks, it is now corrected.
