In one of my XP user profiles, menus such as the main
Start Menu, plus pull down menus in Word, Excel, etc only
appear for a couple seconds then close again automatically.

Been thru regedit trying to compare values with other
profiles to no avail. Where the heck is the time setting
that determines how long a menu stays up before closing
down again? Used to stay up forever, now a couple seconds
and poof its gone!

If not clear from above, imagine you go down and click on
the START button. You get the standard popup menu allowing
you to select programs and etc. Now usually this will stay
up for awhile or forever until you click on something or
the desktop. What I have now is the menu just goes away
even without mouse movement, keyboard hits, or any clicks.

Irritating because sometimes full menu doesn't even appear
before it does away again.

Have current Norton Anti-virus, spybot, and zonealarm
running without warnings. Plus, no problem if logon to XP
with another user profile.

Help!
