I've scrapped my desktop for a fancy new notebook in preparation for hitting
the road indefinitely in my RV. I definitely want to have FlightSim 2K along
and would like to not have to take the CD. The manual doesn't offer any
option. Is there any option?

Go to megagames.com, search the pc section and pretty sure you'll find a
"NoCD" patch/crack for it. Pay attention to any version # specifics, e.g.
you've updated game but patch is for original ver etc.

Thank you.

No problem, I detest the way software companies design their products
expecting one to not only wear out their cd drives but also risk damage to
the product. Replacing a "bad cd" can be bs, found that out when MS couldn't
replace the last 16 bit Encarta cd I had a few years ago that "went south".
I now return any product and demand a refund if/when I can't overcome having
to put the cd in the drive for same to work, e.g. either No-CD crack or
virtual cd or it goes back ... no exceptions.
