I just bought a new computer which runs on Windows XP. (my old one was ME)
I'd like to set it up so that the Calendar (portion of Microsoft Outlook)
pops-up on Windows start-up. Is there a way to do this?

The way I have it setup (probably a better way) is I made a new shortcut on
my desktop to outlook:\\Mailbox - username\Calendar and then copied it to
Start>Startup. Just can't figure out how to open it in a separate window
this way.

You can cause Outlook to open when you start Windows XP by placing a
shortcut to Outlook in All Programs, Startup.
With Outlook Open, your can adjust the window size to your desire. Next
time you open Outlook, it will open to that size.
You can configure Outlook to open to your Calendar. How you do this varies
with version. In Outlook 2003, go to Tools, Options and than Other tab.
Under general click on Advanced Options. At the top you will see Startup in
This Folder. Use Browse to select Calendar. In you are using a prior
version, suggest you check Outlook Help for directions on setting startup
folder.

Thanks Don....I did get Calendar to start when Windows starts up but it
insists on opening up in November of 2003!! How can I get it to open on the
current date? (I don't see any such option)

Clarification:

The calendar does start (for about 2 seconds) on today's date but then
flashes to that Nov. 2003 week????

Sorry do not know. Suggest you try an Outlook newsgroup.

I do not use Calendar for startup. However, I just change to calendar
{Outlook 2003}. With the view 7 day week selected, Outlook opens to this
week with the first box Monday Jan 12. When I change the view to 31 day
month, Outlook opens to the current 31 days with the first box Dec 29.

In both cases, the view does not change.

When I have and problems with an Office application, the first thing I do is
a Help, Detect and Repair. Suspect, only suspect, that in your case Outlook
is finding the November date someplace and changes. Someone in an Outlook
newsgroup should know where Outlook obtains today's date.
