Is it your entire task bar (along the bottom of the screen) that does not
appear? Or are you stating that the when clicking on the START button,
nothing happens?
If the entire bar is below the visible space, you could try some of the
following:
1. Change the resolution of the video card (right-click on properties of
desktop and change slider)
2. Manually reset settings on monitor so that lower part of screen is
visible.
3. If the task bar hides when inactive, you could drop your mouse to the
bottom of the screen, and it should appear. At this point, right-click on
the bar and change the settings.
