Start and stopping apllication automaticlly

Running w2k server SP4

We are running a couple of third party applications on our
server. Unfortunately these have to be closed down and
restarted most mornings as the link gets dropped. My
problem is I do not want people being able to log on to
the server to do this them selves, so if I am not about it
becomes an issue. Is there a way to automatically close
and then re-open the applications, I can start them using
scheduler but stopping them is closing me the headache.

Any help would be appreciated.

Use tip 431 in the 'Tips & Tricks' at http://www.jsiinc.com to schedule their
close just before your scheduled start.
