I don't have a clue what I've done to eliminate some of the applications
from my "All Programs" listing on the start menu. For some reason a large
majority of the applications I have installed are no longer listed on the
Start / All Programs menu. To further embarrass myself I'm not able to do a
restore because when I went to perform that function I realized I did not
have the monitoring function turned on to monitor my hard drive, hence I
have no restore points.

Can someone please tell me what I need to do to get my "All Programs"
listing populated with all the applications I have installed on this PC?

Many thanks in advance, Rob.

Those things you see in your start menu's All Programs section are just
shortcuts. If you haven't lost a whole lot of icons, then you could easily
make new shortcut icons manually. In fact, I think that is your only
alternative.

One way to get your shortcusts back, would be to reinstall the
programs so the shortcuts can be added.

Otherwise you can manually add them.

Any chance that you turned on the personalized list function?
Right-click the start button, properties, customize.
