Hi Lisa,
Click start/run, type msconfig, then click ok. Click on the startup
tab,
here you will find a list of programs that are starting whenever you
boot
the machine. Some are essential, like antivirus software, but most are
not.
You can uncheck those you do not wish to have starting at boot time.

:
Just move the shortcuts to wherever you want them.
Drag them or perhaps try using a right-click on the Start button,
selecting Explorer and manipulate the Programs in the Start Menu to
suit.

In "All Programs" I have several similar programs that I want to list
under one Folder. i.e. several graphic viewers. How do I list them
under the one folder, say "Graphic Viewers" so that I just have to
click on that folder and then select the viewer I wish to use?. Any
help appreciated thanks.
