Hi there,

Having by now so many programs listed there,
three columns are being displayed...but this 3rd
one appears on the very edge of my screen, so
that I can only see the individual icons; its des-
cription itself (of the program) is not visible!

However, I was told there's "a way" of modi-
fying those 3 columns into one single only
(and then scrolling downwards)...but WHERE
exactly (on XP) can one alter now this setting?

So thanks very much in advance for advising
me now accordingly...

right click on a blank area of the taskbar, select Properties. Start Menu
tab, Customize button. Scroll down to Scroll Programs - put a check in it
for one column scrolling program menu, uncheck it for multiple columns.

Also, the Use Personalized Menus will cause Windows to initially display
only the most recently used selections from your programs menu.

Hi,

Several options: Shorten the names of the listings (right click, rename),
switch to scroll programs (right click the Start
Button/Properties/Customize/
Advanced/Scroll Programs) or re-organize your menu (right click the Start
Button/Explore All Users/Start Menu/Programs. In the right pane, create new
folders and/or drag and drop.

Thank you very much Kelly for your valid tips..."all fine" now!
