Stange happenings since migration

We recently changed out domain from NT4 to W2003 server. Most of the
computers were migrated over to the new domain without incident.

Two computers are now giving very strange symptons, both XP SP2.

If a user logs onto the Domain (this only applies when using one of these
two compters) then the following strange things happen:

Unable to preview thumbnail images within windows explorer, can see them on
the slideshow setting though.
No "send to mail" choice within right clicking on file, can send files to
drives (e.g. c:)though.
Clicking on Run or search command from the start menu gives a "unable to
create shortcut here, etc..." message.

However logging onto the PC as the local admin' and all of the above works
fine.

Any ideas on fixing this please?

Thanks,

Troy

Offhand I don't know what is going on but what I would try is to temporarily
add one of the users to the local administrators group on the computer and
them have them logon to see if it still happens though I tend to doubt that
will make a difference in this case. I would also try logging on as another
domain user that has not logged onto that computer before so that a new user
profile will be created for that user to see if that user has the same
problem or not. If not then something screwy is going on with the user's
profile. I would also have the user try logging onto another domain
computer that has not shown the problem to see what happens for the
