I had the same problem--i believe you get and error
message "system standby failed" and it names a COM port as
holding your machine and the mouse frezzes. --- Unistall
BOTH com ports in device manger by right click
on "uninstall" and yes to doing it, but do NOT restart
system till you uninstall the second com port, then
RESTART system. You may still get an error if you have a
internal modem on you PC. Then repeat above, but uninstall
all 3 devices before you restart.
