Standard VGA Graphic adapters specs

I was wondering what are the restriction in using the Standard VGA Graphic
adpater in windows Vista.

640x480 resolution, no support for any of Vista's enhanced graphics, pretty
hard on the eyes unless you have a vision issue that requires viewing
graphics in that resolution, an absolute waste on modern LCD monitors.
