Standard VGA Drivers wont load

Im putting a new graphics accelerator into my computer bt
before I can load the driver for it the standard VGA
drivers that windows installs need to be installed but it
doesn't find them in the search is there some way i can
force the drivers to load? any feedback would be awsome

Hi;
I take it that you had a prevous vid.card in there.

Did you "flush/delete" its drivers before hand?
Did you delete the "old" card (control
panel/settings/system/hardware/device manager) before making the switch?

The simplest fix is quite often to reinstall the old and follow the above
procedure.

Hehe, i had this problem also. it took me quite some time to figure i
out though.. after reading on the net about other people who had th
same problem i tried many different things... none of them worked the
while i was looking around if foud this :)

On the Windows Taskbar, click Start > Run. The Run dialog box appears

In the "Open:" box, type: msconfig then click OK. The Syste
Configuration Utility appears.
Click the BOOT.INI tab.
Under Boot Options, check "/BASEVIDEO."
Click OK.
Reboot the computer as prompted.

this should get you on the right path to installing your new drivers.
