is anyone able to enumerate what i suspect is a subtle difference between
the printer port types - LPR ports / standard tcpip printer ports (which is
new to Windows 2000) ??
further - it seems that a standard tcpip printer port can have a
configuration of LPR - is there any way in which this is different to an LPR
port. ??
my spin is that it relates only to the tcpip communication between the print
server and the network attached print device.
are there any other functional / performance related differences. ??
