I don't know if these are standard AD questions becouse I don't know AD
industry outside of Poland and the position You are looking for
(administrator, architect), I can tell You only what kind of questions aI'm
askinge when I'm involved in the recruitment process, mostly for third level
AD support persons:
- questions about general concepts of AD, like FSMO roles (and their roles
in network - so question looks something like this "there is a problem (some
general FSMO problem) what can be a cause) , time role in AD domain, Kerberos
authentication etc.
- simple DNS design: simple question about DNS name space design and
configuration, few domains involved etc. just to check knowledeg of DNS
concepts in AD environment
- AD design question: scenario with few requirements, candidate is asked to
propose some design to meet requirements (mostly scenario which requires
multiple sites or forests)
- troubleshooting: I put the candidate in front of some scenario, thath
there is a network with some desgin and there is a problem X - how he will
try to diagnsode problem X which tools would he wuse and what is possible
cause of the problem
- AD recovery; I putting candidate in front of some recovery scenario and
asking him to show me the way he will perform recovery from such kind of
failure with few required goals
- some question about ADSI scripting and knowledge of general scripting,
LDAP topics
..... and some more
Where are you living and what kind of job You are looking for - I'm askinge
becouse I'm curious how the job market for AD persons looks in other
coutnries.
