The footnote for Chicago Style should have author's first and last name and
the title of the book. The information shows up correctly in the
bibilography.

Example bibliography: Jones, George. How to Make a Footnote. New York:
Dillion Press, 1212.

However, the footnote looks like this (Jones 1212, 450). The "edit
citation" menu has nothing checked for supression so the information should
be on the footnote but isn't.

Any ideas on how to fix this

What Word file to paste what info into?

If you are talking about the styles I linked to, the page contains
installation instructions at the bottom. It is as simple as copy the files
into the Style directory.

Sorry! This is all I see and it is not very helpful:
On most 32-bits machines with Microsoft Word 2007 this will be:
%program files%\Microsoft Office\Office12\Bibliography\Style
there are no other instructions. Help!

Open Explorer (not Internet Explorer) and type "%program files%\Microsoft
Office\Office12\Bibliography\Style" in the address bar followed by enter.
That should take you to the directory.

Note that this assumes that you are using a 32-bit system and installed Word
at the location suggested by Microsoft. If not, use the Windows search
function to locate "winword.exe". Go to the folder containing the program
and browse to the subfolders "Bibliography" and "Style".

By "Explorer," Yves means "My Computer" or "Computer" (depending on
whether you have Windows XP or Vista, respectively).

You can type the path in the address bar of Internet Explorer and it will
still take you to the same place.

I was trying to use Endnote X3 but with this hack you've provided enabling
use of Chicago Bibliography Style Endnote (which was hopelessly flawed and
"buggy") is now totally unnecessary. You are my hero.
