I have a win2000 server installed on a network with a Unix server running
dns.

How do I set a standalone win2000 servers's primary dns suffix to that of
the existing Unix dns server and the rest of the network?

ipconfig /all shows a blank under the primary dns suffix,

I have tried all the various options under the advanced properties for tcpip
on the NIC

Is it hidden somwhere else or am I missing something.

Thanks Mike.....

I knew it had to be around somehwere, you would have thought that they
would have left it under the tcpip properties...

Anyway that did the trick

If you open the network connection properties (not the
NIC's hardware properties) for that adapter and then
open the TCP/IP properties dialog for that, then click
"Advanced", and click the "DNS" tab, you will see the
"DNS Suffix..." setting there.
