How do I start my computer again from standby mode ( not logged off). I have tried moving the mouse etc but I have to swtich it all of and restart to make it come to life again!!

Here's an article that pertains to W98. Could be many reasons from what I've
been reading, even some not shown here related to 3rd party drivers, hardware,
etc. Try pushing alt + tab to get out.
