stacking column charts

How do I specify which series of data to stack. Right
now, I have 6 different data series and when I
select "stacking chart", it stacks all 6 series in 1
column. I want it to stack 2 series per colunm, totally
3 columns per X (date) range. PLEASE HELP!

If you stagger your data, you can create side-by-side stacked columns.
For example, with four departments over two years:

2001 2002

DeptA 100 120
DeptB 50 60

DeptC 90 100
DeptD 40 50
