I am trying to symbols used in music theory, I have managed to combine
characters two deep, and get into the field code to change the spacing
between them. This is what I have managed to find:
{eq\o(\s\up 5(6),s\do 4 (4))}

gives me a 6/4 chord in a nice stack. Problem is sometimes you need 3
or 4 characters in a stack. Is there a practical way to do this?

are there differnet degrees of s\up and s\do(wn)?

Hi green fox

Word really isn't designed for creating music symbols. You'll need a
specialist music application. Pros I know use Sibelius, but it's serious and
expensive. Others have recommended Mozart and Noteworthy, which are less
expensive.

Hope this helps.
