Try PrevX for essentially the same functionality.
Wrong; Totally different functionality.

Use both; deactivate the registry monitoring in Prevx.

(The expiration date is to assure quality control as his program improves)

Irrespective of the reason for time limitation, if it exists then it
is crippleware. What many people here would consider NOT to be
freeware.

Does the author have any objection if you deactivate the registry
monitoring?

If not, then it's freeware.

Hmm I read the next version will be probably shareware? A freeware version
but with some features removed will still be available?

Don't know - but I would guess you're right!

Just visited his site and it says something like, "....currently freeware".

In the past it always said something like, "....freeware!"

IMHO, this program is important enough that I'll gladly send him a few
bucks (though just about everything else I use is freeware:-).
