I have a workstation with IE 6 . This workstation accesses a site that is
secure. No problem getting to the site but when window comes up it has a
padlock and keys. I have problems printing from this site on this
workstation. I go to numerous other workstations, access same sight but these
other workstations only have the padlock, no keys and I can print just fine
from these other workstations. It seems that the only workstation that has
issues is the workstation with padlock and keys. Can someone explain to me
what that icon of padlock and keys are ?
Thank you,
Debra

The symbols indicate you're on a Secure Site (<https://xxxx>), that's all.

What Windows version are you running and is the machine fully up-to-date at
Windows Update? What Windows versions are the other workstations running
and what's their Windows Update status? Have you contacted your
Administrator or IT department about the problem?

Last but not least, what happens when you /try/ to print from such a page?

Bear,
I am the network admin/tech support.
You are correct, the sight the user accesses is a secure sight. But I have 3
workstaitions in the office. All accesses this sight at the same time. The 2
that are printing correctly do not have the padlock and key. The workstation
that is not printing correclty has the padlock and key. When user prints from
this secure site, the print is very small. Like a 6 pt. But on same
workstaion, if you print from any other site on the internet, it prints fine.
It doesn't matter what user logs in, so I know it is workstation specific. It
is not the site because this site is used throughout our agency and this is
the only workstation that this occurs on. All other workstations do not have
the padlock and key, just padlock. I have compared settings from a good
workstation to the bad and no differences. I have been working on this
problem for months. The only difference I noticed Friday was the padlock and
keys.
Workstation has Windows XP, IE6 128 bit .
Thanks for you help.
Debra

All accesses this [site] at the same time.

Is the site an https:// site?
All other workstations do not have the padlock and key, just padlock
...Workstation [with printing problem] has Windows XP, IE6 128 bit .

Are all machines running WinXP? Is SP2 installed on all machines? Are all
machines fully up-to-date at Windows Update? Unless you can answer Yes to
all of these questions, you're comparing apples and oranges.
When user prints from this secure site, the print is very small.

And if this user increases Text Size at IE: View > Text size, does the
problem persist?
