There doesn't seem to be an ie7 group so hopefully someone here can help. I
just upgraded to IE7 and everthing works fine except for a CERTIFICATE
ADDRESS MISMATCH error when I start up my web based control program for my
Cisco PIX firewall. I'm not saying anything is wrong with IE7...I just need
to understand what this is about. What exactly is this? I assume the
address being referred to is an address found on the self generated
certificate the PIX users to establish the SSL connection between itself and
IE7. How do I find the address that is mismatched and can I correct it? I
have successfully imported the certificate but it still gives the error. How
does IE7 determine that it is mismatched. How can there be a mismatch
between IE7 and what the PIX is telling it?
I realize this is a certificate question but I had to start somewhere and I
can't seem to locate a group/forum that specializes in this area. Any help
or good pointers (the ones that Google comes up with aren't all that good)
would be most appreciated. Please note that I don't want to disable the
address checking - it's working like it's supposed to - I'm just try to fix
the problem so the error won't occur but I just don't know enough about
certificates to know what/how to fix.
many thanks for any feedback
