okay, at least once a week, I get the infamous "Blue
Screen" saying the system has detected /encountered an
error & is shutting down to prevent damage.... A core
dump is performed at this point too. The info on the
screen says the culprit is the sr.sys driver. Going to MS
I learn that is the system restore.sys driver. Going to
Windows Update does not find a newer/better driver.
I'm using XP Pro on AMD XP 1800+ standalone computer.
I've installed all the latest updates from Windows Update
page, including all the service packs. Any idea how I can
rectify this, short of turning off system restore? It is
a real pain if I'm working on something kinda important &
all of a sudden the system crashes.
Thanks in advance,
ericB
