What in the world is squaid?

Since no one seems to have heard of it, perhaps you should contact the
company that makes it?

You have two versions of squid that you can use.
One version is compiled with MSVC and installs as a service, the other
compiles with GNUcc available as part of the cygwin package
(http://www.cygwin.com) and can run under srvany as a service.

To use the MSVC version, download the binary from
http://serassio.interfree.it
To use the unix-like version, download cygwin, and get the current squid
source code for version 2.5 or later from http://www.squid-cache.org
