I'm a self-taught programmer. I've come a long way with VBA and Access but
now I want to expand into SQL Server. Can anyone tell me the main
differences between SQL Server 2005 & SQL Server 2008, e.g. are there
significant programming differences and are there significant functional
differences?

Hi,
there is no much new features in 2008 in compare to 2005, but there are some
performance enhancements in 2008, so if you have choice - take 2008
