I have a W2K server that runs Exchange 2000. It is a stand alone server.
Users authenticate to Active directory to get access to their email boxes,
but users do not log into the domain.
When I installed BackupExec (as well as BackupExec for Exchange), it also
installed MS SQL. SQL being a dependancy for BackupExec.
I read a Technet whitepaper, "SQL Server 2000 SP3 Security Features and Best
Practices" that states, "Never install SQL Server on a domain controller."
(the word "never" cought my eye.)
1. Has this instance of SQL created a security issue?
2. Has BackupExec installed SQL "server" or just an SQL "agent"?
