I've created a new website called Spyware Point as a bit of a project. It is going to be a spyware resource website, at the moment it is just the "core" with the database/downloads fully added and the infrastructure there.

I was just wondering what people thought of the design/layout?

Ah, right, just views on the design and layout wanted atm, correct?

Well, as mentioned in earlier post, I like it :)

Will you able to get Google and other search engines to find it when it's finished?

Yes please :)

I'm hoping google will pick it up, but google is a rather strange creature! I've submitted it to its index, so fingers crossed it will get picked up soon.

A bit, err, plain looking ;)

However, get the contents in place and people won't care what it looks like if they get their PC sorted and cleaned. :D

Have you thought of having a database on how to remove spacific nasties? :)

When do you expect to go Live ... :D

Like this? :D
http://www.spywarepoint.com/spyware/ (click on a letter to see a big list, "s" has loads under it)

I've kept the design pretty simple and clean so its easy to understand, as most of the people getting spyware may not be too computer literate - plus I didn't have anything else to add to the pages ;)

I'm not sure on a live data, its operational now but it will be a couple of months time before I add stuff onto it (maybe the easter hols if revision goes ok).

Actually, it was it's plainness and simplicity I liked. It's very easy to navigate.

Me and Mucks - chalk & cheese eh? ;)

i like the layout of the site ian :thumb: it looks nice and it is easy to navigate around the site hope the site goes well:thumb:

I'll be the Cheesy one today ... :p

OK, plain and simple is best for some of our lesser knowledgable PC users. :D

So, do you wan't us to send people over there or link to the site as a reference ... can we add content, like the "look2me" vbs script that will remove it for you ... or are you just gonna see how it goes.

Can we start using the site ... :)

Yeah go for it, no harm in linking to pages over there if it has a solution to something :) I still need to add a way to access the articles/spyware db without delving into the MySQL database, but that should happen over the next few weeks I guess - I'll update this thread when though :)

Very good Ian, I just signed up so the Membership list is swelling rapidly ;)

Me as well, good going, it must of took a long time to set it all up?

just out of curiosity

Took a few weeks, but I just did it bit by bit, perhaps 30 mins at a time :)

You sure? ... It wasn't Byte by Byte was it?

:D

I like it too Ian and will sign up - the only comment I would make it perhaps add a 'health warning' about HJT as in the wrong hands it could do some damage.

How about a link to:

Love

Gabs xx

Good point Gabs, I'll add a disclaimer warning people about it tonight!

Still need to do a links page, but will add that over the coming weeks :)
