Siljaline,
Not being one to cast aside your recommendations as they always seem to be
well thought out, I shall strongly consider that which you have suggested.
This applies to the removal of the program as well as initiating a HOSTS
file. The "browsing convenient" URL *is* handy, thanks. ;-)
P.S.- After trying the various means of mitigating the vexing tooltips
problem that were offered at the Wilders.org forum, I found that none
offered a means of eliminating the problem for my OS. Nothing short of
disabling the program, that is. If one wishes to have "tooltips" available,
one must not have the other program enabled. I then ask, what good is it if
it is "not on duty"?
Thanks,

Hello there Jim,
I am running SpywareBlaster, Ad-Aware, Spybot S&D, and HiJack This, Avg AV,
but not BrowserHijack Blaster. Any conflicts in this overly protective (?)
mix?
I hate to say it, and although I don't usually believe in the maxim " If 6
quarts of oil is good, 8 must be better". But when it comes to "Safe Hex",
would two "condoms" ...hurt? (that didn't turn out as I would have planned
verbally speaking)<g>
If I could field that Lucky, running Ad-aware, SpyBot and HJT along with a
good A-V
is plenty enough, you might want to consider uninstalling Spyware Guard, as
we discussed
within this thread, it's kind of beta-ish <g> and might be just a tad on the
overkill side.
If I could unabashedly plug Mike Burgess' HOSTS file and RENHOSTS batch
file, that
would be a welcome addition to your arsenal of protection.
