On my XP machine, using SpywareBlaster version 2.6.0, it added 5 new
keys, and altered 5 others.
And how may i ask are you using to verify this? A lot of progrms that
claim to monitor regkeys only monitor thoses relating to startups.
Look at HKLM\software\microsoft\internet explorer\activex compatiability\
I'm assuming you have already selected "protection against checked items"
There is a recent update which I have not
yet installed but I do not expect it to add hundreds of keys. What
version are you using?
Doesnt matter they all work the same way
From the site.
"By setting a "kill bit" for spyware ActiveX controls, SpywareBlaster can
prevent the installation of any spyware ActiveX controls from a webpage.
It does this while not interfering with "friendly" ActiveX controls - so
your browser can work correctly and you can have peace of mind!"
The killbit is set in the registry of course, how else do you think
spywareblaster does what it does since the app itself doesnt need to be
running? By magic?
