SpywareBlaster version 4..

I just went to check for updates, and was told a new version was availeable.
Version 4

Had to disable older version, 3.5.1 remove it from add/remove and download
new version. I got 9683 in database.

Anyone else get this? I guess it went ok, so good luck. JJ
 
If you want to install the new version instructions say Disable Protection
then
remove previous version from ADD/REMOVE and install new version. Also
CCleaner found alot of registry entries after the program was removed, so
use CCleaner before you install new version. JJ, if you have not done this

think you should do it now, there were alot of files left behind after
removal.

Very Nice, Much nicer. When I installed the new version it told me that a
folder already existed even after removal from add/remove and being cleaned
so i
installed in same folder with no problems. Did a snapshot of my system with
the new version and the two previous shots from the old version showed up
which i deleted so a file is left behind.
 
Hi Ron..Yes, I did exactly what it told me to do. I did the disable thing,
then removed it from add/remove, then did a clean install. I got the same
message about the folder, so I guess it went ok.

Happy March 1st...Spring is on the way, even if it is snowing here. LOL
 
Oh yeah, we started with the snow about 8 last night. It was the usual snowy,
slushy mess. I think we got about 4" where I am, some places got 5-7", but
then it turned to rain. Oh well, hopefully spring will scoot on in soon, I've
had enough of winter and it's sloppy messes.

wow! a total look than 3.5
most of it is the same stuff, expect for the snapshot part

which tab did you pick for the entry files in cc cleaner because i do not
see any of them

i did a snapshot- where does this snapshot go? where did you see the two
previous snapshots?

Hi Robin...When I went to download it, it said the folder for SpywareBlaster
already existed, so I just let it do it's thing. Guess it just went into the
same area, as I only see the new version, nothing with the older one. Even
though I disabled the old version, took it out of add/remove, I got the box
saying that folder already existed.

Half the time these things make me crazy, as I am not that computer savy. Oh
well, it's in and hopefully doing it's thing, so I won't worry about it.

Guess you didn't get any snow. We got about 3-4" but then turned to rain.
Sun was out today, so it is mostly gone, which is fine by me, I'm waiting for
spring. Enough with the cold, wet, and slushy messes, I want flowers and
green grass.

ahh ok i safe it to the hd before i run it
and i first took ron's advice and uninstalled the 3.5 first before
installing the new version and mine did not tell me there was still a folder
there from the last version
