Just downloaded it and will install latter today. Thanks for the link, What
happen to Silj, he's usually first with this info.

Silj is on holiday until July 12th......so we are covering for him.

Did you get the many AdAware updates last week?

Cheers......Heather

Hey, Figgs!

Just installed 3.2. It doesn't appear to recognise Mozilla Firefox.

It seems to be entirely down to Spywareblaster.exe as, zipping the 3.1
folder before installing 3.2, you can then toggle Firefox recognition by
swapping the 3.1 Spywareblaster.exe and the 3.2 version back and forth.

I'm just getting the current Firefox to see if it makes a difference - but
it *is* supposed to recognise the previous version. BTW I've installed clean
and as an update, no difference. Either way works fine, just no Mozilla
protection.

Yes I also got the Beta update of SpyBot, but I haven't installed it yet. I
usually wait a copy of weeks. Must be nice to get to take off for awhile.
Thanks for asking about the adAware updates.
I also finally got the update to EZtrust AV for my EZArmour installation.

[3.2] "supports Firefox .9.1."

I too am having the same situation; does not recognize Mozilla.
It doesn't recognize Mozilla or Mozilla Firefox? I'm not having any
problems with Mozilla 1.7.

The bad news for me was that it forced me to upgrade from
Firebird 0.7+ to Firefox 0.91 for SB to continue working on my
primary browser. I had hoped to stay at FB 0.7+ until FF 1.0,
cause I liked it, but not if I had to loose SB.

Yes......I run it, AdAware and have SpywareBlaster installed.....for
starters. It is not quite as user-friendly as AdAware, but I alternate
between them. I rarely get spyware cookies due to SpywareBlaster tho.

Heather

Never.......I am running Spybot at the moment as new detection rules came
out for it.....nothing turned up (as usual)......but I believe that is
because I use the Immunize function in it, along with Spyware Blaster.

I also have Hijack This and CWShredder on my desktop, and BHO Demon which I
run from time to time. I rarely get any browser hijackers, but they are out
there.

Try a modern, secure browser and "rarely" will go to "never".

...and you won't need SpywareBlaster, either. <g>

I also run all three, installing SpywareBlaster just last week. How does
this prog work if it doesn't remain resident and works when closed? I don't
understand the principle.

Sure.......ask me something complicated when I am just back from a holiday
in the UK.....grin!!

From one of the Spyware websites......
SpywareBlaster is the most powerful protection program available.
Prevent the installation of ActiveX-based spyware, adware, browser
hijackers, dialers, and other potentially unwanted pests.
Block spyware/tracking cookies in Internet Explorer and Mozilla/Firefox.
Restrict the actions of potentially dangerous sites in Internet Explorer.
SpywareBlaster can help keep your system spyware-free and secure, without
interfering with the "good side" of the web.<<<

I am assuming that it is in the Registry.....but others here can correct
me......Silj, explain this one!! <g>

Cheers......Heather

PS.......You will see it mentions 'protecting Mozilla'......seems to me that
folks here are saying Mozilla, et al, is better than IE.....hmmm.

Yo Beau......

How come SpywareBlaster works on Mozilla and Firefox and is set up to do
so......if they are 'modern, secure browsers'...hmmm?????

I have no intention of switching from IE and think too much BS is being
posted about how much better they are......not necessarily. I rarely have
problems and the occasional BHO is not all that nasty.

Again......personal opinion only and I am quite happy with my well-protected
IE. That is a possibility you anti-MS folks haven't considered (protecting
it, I mean)......but no doubt you all will disagree with me.

I may try out the ones you all are touting, but not out of paranoia. (G)

Cheers.....Heather/Figgs

Guess that just might prove my point that it isn't necessarily better than
IE....lol.

that bug was patched in under a day... ms has yet to successfully patch
their browser after more than a week...

of course if you aren't sold on the idea of dumping IE due to security
concerns after CERT has started suggesting that very thing then
security probably isn't the feature that will sell you on mozilla...

Frankly, the security concerns are concerned with XP......I still use ME and
haven't upgraded, partly due to that. Ideally I would prefer to dual boot,
or upgrade this P3, or get a larger hard drive.....so those concerns come
first.

But I still say that I don't get the security problems that you all are
talking about. I think I have had 3 browser hijackers......no trojans, no
viruses.....in 3.5 years. So that is why I am not terribly concerned.
